Default MS4 110+3 Ground advance

high,my mechanic told me that mi MS4 cam works better with +3 of ground advanced,specially in midrange power,but will i lose in high RPMS power?
what are the goods and the cons buy advancing the cam

The main issue with that will be piston to valve clearance! What short-block are you running, or more importantly, do you have valve reliefs in your pistons?

hi matt! thx for your answer,.yes the mechanic have done flycuts already,but i heard that someone have detonating issues ,but what benefits will i have with +3 in the cam matt?thx a lot for your info

+3 advance will improve your DCR and the resulting midrange torque and power. You will also lose some intake P/V clearance.

Advancing a cam, opens the Int valve sooner and closes it sooner, bringing the power earlier in the band and making the cam more exhaust bias. Basicaly it shifts the powerband a bit sooner.
On a cam like MS4, it will not make a huge difference since the Intake closing IVC is allready beyond most intake manifold flow capabilities (LS6/FAST) so it will not affect your top end dramaticaly but it will make the cam even harder to tune because of reversion increase.

oh thx for that info predator-z its good to hear that so my tuner do need tu have some skills to tune my car well,he told me that my car should run very good with that +3 ground advanced,and hearing all you experts i think should run well with a good tuner

well today i expect to recieve my car,i wish that all be working good,and tomorrow will do dyno tuning i will upload some pics
