Default Noob shorty question.

I know long tubes make more power and whatnot, so don't even bother saying long tubes or forget it. They aren't in the plan for my car so save it. Anyways, would the 00-02 shorty style headers fit on a 98-99 Y pipe? I know the emissions stuff is different, and that's accounted for. I just need to know if they will fit.

Their cats are in a little different location, so the y-pipe isn't the same. You could use 00-02 manifolds and y-pipe though. I've thought about doing this with ported 00's manifolds. You might as well use the 00's so you have an EGR bung to work with.

well the EGR isn't currently on the car, hence the idea to use the newer shorties. The newer Y pipe will fit the car though? Good to know, since mine is crap.
