Default A.I.R. confusion (pic inside)

There is no tube running from my lid to the air pump, but there is a tube with an air filter on the end that i think the previous owner put on there. Is this the tube that brings air to the air pump? I have never seen this on another ls1.

Yes. He probably put on a lid that has no provision for filtered air required for A.I.R. intake.

yeah that looks like the hose that goes from the air pump to the air tubes that bolt to your exhaust manifolds... you can go ahead and take that junk out if you want to since it's not really connected to anything now lol

It probably IS connected. That's why the guy put a filter on the intake hose.

well yeah it's probably connected to the air pump but it doesn't look like the air tubes are there so it isn't doing it's purpose so you might as well take it all off is what i'm saying... if your air tubes are still there then leave it be until you get longtubes and get the codes tuned out... or you could get block off plates

Its all still hooked up, the only difference is that the tube is sucking air from under the hood instead of from the lid. Im going to wait for longtubes to take air/egr off so i can get air, egr, and my 02's all tuned out at once.
