Need a lot more info to give you a good advice. First off will it be an NA, nitrous, or turbo build? What horsepower do you want? What is your budget? Pump gas or race gas? What to you is a best? To me a best would be quality. So please give more info.

Im using a callies compstar setup, i was pleased with them, but i have also heard that lunatti is really good. I think they are inside your budget on price too.

5k for stoker kit? for that budget just buy a short block. your goals are fine with eagle/ diamond components but like the other guy said, i like and prefer compstar components with high end pistons. check texas speed for a good budget set up

We can set you up with everything from Scat Eagle or Compstar to Carrillo and Sonny Bryant. But it comes down to application. What is the engine intended for. Then we can decide what the best assembly to go with is. You budget for just the assembly is way over blown unless you need it to be ultra light and strong?
