Last November I blew the power steering pump in my 2005 GTO. I've pretty much dealt with it up until now, mostly because I can't find any replacements. About 3 months ago I ordered a refurb from A1 cardone, but I was told they no longer refurb them. I know I can order one from the dealer, but I'm not about to pay $400 for a new pump.

I stumbled across these articles from kwik performance which basically say that most GM pumps are almost identical. Does anyone think I can retrofit a pump from another car onto my LS2?

We have begun using a company called Performance Steering Components for all our pump refurbs. They are about an hour away from me so it's really convenient. They specialize in rock crawler, desert racing and monster truck steering needs.

Send them your pump and ~$100 and all your pump related problems go away. To date, the pumps are working just as well as Turn One pumps.

I can't remove the factory pump as the car is a daily driver - I need a direct replacement that will fit with little or no modification

the power steering pump on my daily is just about dead. i guess having over 100k miles with some autox and aggressive street driving mixed in doesn't help. luckily one of my friends was nice enough to give me his old whiny one which i'm sending out to PSC for a rebuild.

they will all fit without modification. buy a turn one pump. it comes complete with an optional pulley. take the old one off and put the new one on.
