Default Who makes this cam? How much of a change..

Who's cam is this 231/237 .591 .601 112 and would it be much of a change over my PatG TQR Cam of 224/228 .637/.639 110?

What was that other PatG cam that he turned out that was slightly more agressive than the one I have? I'm looking for a slightly more agressive cam for the spring time.. I'd liek a bit more of a lope at idle, also..

I'm gonna need to update my headers (OLD 1st Gen SLP crap design)... I'm running Patriot dual Gold Vale Springs and Wheel to Wheel P+P'd LS6 heads.

^ yeah, that's where I got it from... If I can get an idle exactly like that with a mid range cam, to slightly larger I'd be happy.. But not MS4 large..

I'm in love with that car, and the sound.. I've been leg humping that video for years..

It might not be THAT much better. That pat G cam looks like it has very aggressive lobe design over the other one.

^ Your idle will sound like mine with that duration and that LSA.. Prolly a bit milder.. It'll make a nice street cam..

You guys picking cams for how they sound, cracks me up
Do you guys realise that although a cam sound is affected by overlap, it also has to do with exhaust and idle?

Yeah.... I want a more aggressive cam, And I know how to pick it out, but the sound is a seller for me now.. I won't switch unless there will be a gain.. My exhaust is pretty much wide open; no cats and a TSP rumbler CB.. I need new headers and a FAST intake.. I'm almost certain that my 1st gen SLP LT's are holding me back......... And holding me in the driveway too for that matter.. :/ And the Y-pipe is kinda crushed from reinstalling it when it refused to line back up..

How are the numbers from the MS3? MS4 is a bit too big for me.. Too much Cam, IMO.. I thought PatG had another cam he spec'd out somewhere in the 230 range?

I'm not buying a cam for how it sounds. I already bought the cam and was curious how it would sound in my LQ4.

With slow idle (ie: properly tuned), it will have a mild lope with -1 overlap. TR224 is 0 overlap, it will be similar.

Mine has 5* of overlap, for anyone's reference.. Mild exh lope.. You can hear it more when the AC is on in the car = lower idle.
