We will be doing Edelbrock installs along with the ProChargers on the 2010 Camaro SS. It will be interesting to be able to compare the two. Bob

What is the difference between the Edelbrock kit, and the other TVS kits out there?

All the companies try to do a better job of packaging without hurting performance, than everyone else. Edelbrock has a large engineering group, so I'm sure they will have a good design. Bob

I see that it comes with injectors, but what fuel pump is everyone running on the new boosted cars? I always ran a racetronix setup on my 4th gens.

We use the Kenne Bell 40 amp boost a pump on the late model GM cars. If power is going to be past what a boost a pump can handle, then a whole new fuel system will be needed. Bob

Looks really cool, I know the mustang kit makes good power. I'm sure this one will too.

It looks a lot like the factory LS9 TVS as opposed to the traditional Eaton design. Not sure if this is a good or bad thing but the LS9 has shown it is capable of some serious power.

Nice looking kit. Do you expect that these kits will also fit the Pontiac G8s with a few tweaks?

Yes, it will be interesting to see how it performs.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9jlo_TIMkek Only time will tell, but Edelbrock has the finances to put together a well though out and designed system.

Get building!!!!

I would think it would Patrick, they don't take up a lot of room. Bob

Spoke to Edelbrock tech. line manager and a parts supplier wholesaler this morning. Both confirmed earliest release date for product/pricing is slated for Feb. '10. NOT SOON ENOUGH! Lol

I was very impressed with the Edelbrock Superchager
Since Edelbrock introduced their Ford Supercharger I have been watching for the LS series setup. We finally were able to look the unit over at SEMA and then again at PRI.
I have an observation on the current batch of superchargers that are currently in favor at the moment.
First the TVS 2300 is much larger than the 6.2 Litre engine needs. I am talking about installing a TVS 2300 on an engine with 10.7 to 1 compression ratio. The blower really never is in it's sweet spot. The buying public is convinced they need a 2300!
I had the conversation with another Supecharger vendor and he agreed with my observation. He said that the TVS 1900 has less mass and will make as much power as the LS3 can handle.
OK, back the Edelbrock unit, it really looks like the blower on the LS9 and the LSA. It also incorporates several improvements over the OEM design. We shall see how that works out.
The LS9 as well as the LSA engines use low compression 9 to 1 pistons. For that reason as well as other features they can handle more boost than a TVS 2300 on a stock LS3.
Brian Thompson will be doing some testing of the Edelbrock blower on low compression boost specific engine combinations. He has lots of experience with the Harrup, Magnuson, LS9 and LSA blowers. It should be interesting to see how the Edelbrock compares with the LS9 blower.
Once Brian has completed his testing I hope to install the blower on the LSA engine in my 2010 Camaro. That should give us a good idea of how it stacks up to the TVS 1900 we are using now.
God I love this stuff!

Heat. The R1900 would be close to maxed out on a 6.2L. The R2300 is a perfect fit for a 6.2L, requiring a smaller intercooler at the same boost pressure as the R1900.

I agree, and will add low cr is for carberated motors:D.We run a f1r at 10.3 cr to make over 1000 rwhp using a 4l80 tranny.A 2300 is fine on a ls3 with the higher cr.

I think your being a bit optomistic for the delievery date, I heard from a reliable source at Edelbrock that it will be late Feb or early March. It has simular features to the Mustang like the inverted air flow to compact the package while keeping the running lenght longer for low range response.

On the 6.2 with 10.7 compression ratio they are spinning the 2300 so slow in the aftermarket that it's not in the efficiency range on the compressor map. So spinning the 1900 faster actually is more efficient.
Also the extra room above the intercooler on the LSA is more efficient also.
Now if you lower the compression to 9.1 and raise the displacement then the 2300 is the answer.
