Alright folks, I have a 98 trans am that has a 5.3 in it since my brother blew up the 5.7 before i got it from him so we put a 5.3 in it cause it was cheap. Well it still has the 5.7 tune in it. But here lately the valves seem to be rattling? Im running 93 octane an the car runs great wot, Just taking off from redlights at about 2500 rpms it rattles, Its def coming from the engine. Its a automatic aswell. Thanks guys for any help on this.

Two things come to mind... Try a different gas station, Might be bad gas. And you need to get it tuned. Might have to pull some low end timing.
