Changing cams... Stumped
I put a torquer v.3 in the car in july and its so-so and im looking to change it up this winter but unsure of what to swap it out with because theres so many options so maybe some of you can help, post your cam, track times/mph, dyno numbers, driveability,etc..
My goals for the car:
to have decent street manners
have good midrange and topend power
hopefully make some torque, im sure bumping the compression will help that
i take the car to the track occasionally but it sees its share of highway pulls
Mods
Fresh 346
Mahle forged pistons with 4cc reliefs
Torquer v.3 111 lsa
PRC stage 1 LS6 heads !UNMILLED!
LS7 Lifters
ls2 trays
ported ls6 oil pump
LS2 timing chain
TSP hardened pushrods
FTRA
smooth bellow
SLP lid, probably going to a bigger setup with 92/92
PRC dual valve spring
ARP rod bolts
MLS headgaskets
Pacestter LTs
Corsa Catback
LS7 clutch
Moser 9
I have an ls6 intake, plans of a fast 92/92 setup are planned for winter as well, as well as a monster clutch, and most likely TDs. As i said i am looking for a strong runner, something thats going to be impressive. I have been thinking G5x3, vrx5 and similar cams. I may even talk to pat g and/or pred z about a custom grind

What exactly was it that you werent impressed with about the torquer? I didnt see any mention of what gears you were running. I rode in a bolt on/torquer/3.73/M6 car and that damn thing would move out above about 3500 rpm.....

You should be perfectly fine with the valvesprings to last you up to 20,000 miles or more. It just depends on how hard you drive it all the time. If you only get on it every now and then then the springs are not an issue. Patriot makes a good set of dual springs. Hell my cam has a .666 lift and my springs are going to be fine.

Honestly, I would say retune before you go throwing more band-aids at it. There's obviously something going on there, and throwing more parts on there won't fix the main issue.
For what it's worth, what kind of dyno and altitude was that done on?

i wouldnt call the other mods i plan on doing a "bandaid" but just going to do them since im paying for another tune. I will most likely be having Exotic performance or speed inc. tune the car
