Default 4L80e Vacuum Line

What's the vacuum line at the top (right behind the bell housing) of the 4L80e for? Should I block it off, or does it need vacuum?

You can see it in this pic on the top right of the trans at the back of the bell housing.

Its and overflow /vent do not block it or hook vaccume to it. Though for safty reasons some do like to run a hose down below pan lever or to a catch can incase it did ever vent trans fluid

I ran a tube from that to the back-bottom of the trans. In case it does vent out some fluid then it won't dirty up my trans .
