Difference between 04-05 Magnaflow exhaust to 06-07 model?
Just bought a 2006 CTS-V and I have been looking for a good deal on a used exhaust. Just found a steal on a 04-05 Magnaflow exhaust. Its the stainless 16636 model. I know the 06 require the 16637 magaflow exhaust. I can weld and I have some stainless wire left over from my last project. Does anyone know what the actually differences are in the exhaust. Is it just where the meet the cats. I would assume the rest if the same. Just figure my V have the LS2 instead of LS6 so the cats may be a little farther forward or back because of different manifolds. Or the flange is different on the cats. Thanks for the help. If most of the exhaust is the same it would be worth it to modify it to fit.

Aside from the model number there is no difference. I bought the 16636 model for my 06 V and it bolted right up without modifications. Many other's have done the same without issues. Save the money and go with it.

So does the same go for the Kook headers and the intakes. I just found a deal for a 05 Volant intake for 2005 and Kooks Lt's for a 2004. Will they work on the 06 also. Thanks
