Default How to retard timing?

I know the concept and how it works, and why I need it, I just want to learn how by which means or tools can I retard timing?

Is it true that you can retard time using cam gears? and a tuner? or are they different timing conepts? I believe they help each other not the same concept though...

corret me please

Best way to do it is using a tuning software. Some of the nitrous places sell timing tuners but they are limited to only a few degrees of retard on the stock tune. Do you want to do it for nitrous use?

The cam and crank gears can adjust the cam timing, but to adjust ignition timing you must use one of those boxes to fool the PCM or have the PCM tuned to adjust the timing advance.

No real reason to drop timing if you're not spraying.
