depends on what kind you have, I have et streets and I always bring them inside for the winter. They say that the cold weather messes with the molecules and having them go from warm weather to cold weather isnt good for the soft rubber.

I dont think it will be that bad with nittio since they are a harder rubber than an et street, I have nittos on my ws6 wheels and those are sitting in my garage attic.

What he is talking about is the sticker that Nitto puts on their drag radial now. They warn about cold temps causing the tire to crack, and that this will not be covered by any warranty.
I don't know if they changed something in the compound of their drag radials and this caused them to start having the cracking problems or what. I know the Nitto DRs I have had in the past have all been driven in 20 degree weather before, and stored in below freezing temperatures while mounted on the car. I never had an issue with those tires in any way. Those however, didn't have that warning sticker when I got them. Those sets were purchased in 2004 and 2006.
My newest Nittos did have the warning (purchased in 2009), but I have yet to even drive them since my car is all apart. My garage has yet to reach freezing temps and I will prolly make sure it doesn't just to be on the safe side. Either that or bring the tires inside the house til the car is up and going again.

Those warnings have been in place for a long time. Back in 2003 and 2004 both the 275/40r17 and 315/35r17 I purchased had that warning. At the time I had no garage and the tires lived through a couple winters that saw below freezing temps every day for months. Never had a cracking problem.
