Default Is this 2004 a deal?

I was trying to hold out another year or two for an 09 model but im tired of driving my uncomfortable fwd tq monster. I know the trannys are the main weakpoint of this car since its really not ment to be a drag vehicle. If possible can someone run a carfax for me? Thoughts please.

http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...standard=false

Part of the reason I am more interested is Lately i have been seeing this things list for around 23-25k in my area....for the past 6-10 months.

1) The T56 transmission isn't the weak point, the rear ends are... BIG TIME.

2) I've been finding LOADS of nice 04's and 05's on here, Autotrader, etc, for 19-21k as long as you're willing to travel a little bit... hell there's a nice supercharged 05 in the vehicle classifieds on here for 23k.

Damn guys, sounds like im SOL in my area, Texas in general. Im from Dallas and would drive to houston, sa, okc (300 miles radius) but there is nothing close. Prob is I have a trade in and cant get a real apprasial value untill they see the car. (I have a good estimate of what i will get but id be angry to make a 600mile trip and come back empty handed.

Price is right, start negoitiating on lower price or extended warranty. The color sucks, most silver Vs are driven by women or transvestites or pedophiles or Obamaites or whipped men who were told by their other half that they were not allowed to own a black ballin' race car.
The silver will grow on you though, as you will not have to clean it every other day and be a hater of the swirlies.

I would rather avoid the whole black car thing as my last two have been black. I may go up there tommorow and see what kind of deal they can give me if not i will walk and wait for another deal to come around. (Dont care about the sales price just have to haggle the trade in.)

I'm none of those and definitely not an obamanite....

Black is the color that sucks. My silver V hasn't been washed in 3 weeks and you can't even tell it.

Ok, that made me laugh.

But yeah, my SS is black and I have taken a solemn vow to never again own a black car... unless I have money flowing from my nose and can afford to have SOMEONE ELSE wash/buff/wax it for me. At least that way when (not if) it gets swirlies in the paint, I can yell at them for it instead of being pissed at myself.

Just Fawking with youse/y'all, my C6 is Machine Silver Metallic, it is much easier to keep looking good as opposed to the Black Raven CTS V-Series. The flat black is a biotch, there cannot be another color more difficult to maintain. With that said, I think everyone should own at least one black car in their lifetime, as it will make you a Master of Detailing. I can attribute all I have learned about maintaining a clean car to my V, but sadly, when I get my elbows, shoulders and knees replaced in the future I may regret owning it.

When I owned a black car, I was a master of ruining the paint....

I would check it out man but i have a trade in which im about 1k upside down on. I would try and private sell my car but it seems like a waste of time with this eco.

What sucks is i called after work around 7PM and it was sold. I know sewell dealerships and they tend to sell good condition cars but i think the vehicle was listed on ebay prior to being listed on autotrader cause i doubt it sold locally.

I just checked the listing and they raised it to basically 22k so now im confused.
