F1 purchased in 7/04 come with mounting bracket?
Anybody know or buy an F1 ProCharger around that time frame and if so did it come with the J shaped mounting bracket or did you have to fabricate your own mounting bracket? To fit '98-'02 F-body LS1 (427ci). Just curious.
383????

Also, I'm guessing ProCharger would hardly sell a unit without a mounting bracket....or would they? But on the other hand it would seem that surely they would have a complete F1 kit for 4th gens by the middle of '04. Right?

I don't think Procharger has a premade kit for the F1 series for the F Boats. You might be able to by a D1SC kit and have them "upgrade it" to have an F1 instead of the D1SC, but that would be kind of pointless as that kit isn't designed for using those blowers.
I would think you could pice together your own setup with better parts for an F1 than trying to use their kit and do it cheaper in the long run.
The bypass valve in the kit isn't enough for the D1SC when it is pushed much less an F1 so you'd have to upgrade that.
The twin intercoolers are a bit small for an F1 so you'd have to go with a front mount or come up with something else.
Really when you start talking about the bigger head units or even really pushing the D1SC their kit parts aren't up to the task.
For a ready to go kit contact EPP as they have a kit you can do the larger head units, FMIC, injectors, bypass valve, etc... It isn't cheap but you won't have to source everything yourself.
Otherwise you could probably save a couple grand if you pieced it together yourself and did some of your own fabrication work. I wish I had done this the first time around on my car instead of sourcing a normal procharger kit only to have to redo the whole thing when I had to go bigger (new motor).

You sure about that? I purchased an F1 in 7/04 and I am almost positve the bracket was included. But you are right that the inter-coolers were small.

It will be for sale soon, but for Christ's sake, let the experts answer my question. I happen to be building another ProChargerd engine and don't want to replace the gas tank unless I have to. Why go from 18 or so gallons to 10 if you don't have to???
If the answer is no you can pick up a great deal on a "bad azz" cell.

It really depends on how much HP you are wanting to make?
