Sell it?!

Sell it?!
I have a 98 Camaro Z28 that ive put tons into over the past 4 years.
Cliff notes: Sunoco hood, SS spoiler, Fresh paint, Z06 rims, Lowered with new shocks, forged low compression 370 CU built for big boost, F1 procharged, 6 speed, Full exhaust with CME.
body has over 100k miles. Motor and Trans has less than 2,000
Car makes 7XX hp @ 14 psi
My thing is im getting out of the Navy within the next 2 years. My Camaro is paid off. Not a single debt on it.
Would $15,000 be asking for to much?
Id like to get A 2005 Corvette 6 speed loaded as my new daily.
Would you guys part with something you have put so much into?

At one point I felt like the world would end if I didn't buy a wrangler and drop a v8 in it. I sold my Z28 and bought a jeep. I never got around to dropping a v8 in, and I quickly began to hate this jeep and started to regret ever selling my Z in the first place.
This was six years ago and i've been going insane ever since. My Z was my baby. I didn't have a lot of after market money in it, like in your case, but none the less. I wish I never sold my Z.
Unless your goal was a Z06, and if you have any second thoughts about selling your car, then I wouldn't do it.

**** no man what are you on crack? No offense to Vette owners, but Vettes are as common as mustangs and none of the ones Ive seen have the wow appeal any more. Even if by looking at your car someone didnt go "wow", you get on the gas and they are pulling theyre lungs out through their ***. Especially if its paid off for, if anything keep the Camaro and buy the Vette later on.

'Vettes are much better IMO but they're not going to come with that kind of power. I wouldn't miss an F-body while in a 'Vette but I would miss a drop in power.
The 'Vette will be lighter but not enough to make up for that difference.
Unless you have a good suspension setup, the 'Vette will be much more fun when you actually have to turn the steering wheel, though. And that's the most important, in my opinion.

You would have the worst sellers remorse. Especially after you drove the corvette after a few months and found your missing all that power. You will miss that power of your camaro.
Of course you can build the corvette to be faster.

I have been a camaro fan all my life. And never thought i would want a vette. Until i wrecked my dream ss. Well long story short test drove a vette and bought it and dont regret it. Agreed you will be starting over on power. They are so much nicer to drive also. And if you can get a c6 I say do it. Im just in a little c5

The cause of all of this is I just rented A 2010 Camaro SS and the creature comforts brand new smell and just the feel of a nice new car hit me hard.
I can't justify the 40k price tag on that car, but it was still nice.
I want to keep this car for the joy it brings me.. but damn, when I get out of the Navy and start going full time to school.. I wont be making near the coin I am now for a while and I can't be dealing with broken parts.
If I get A vette.. It will be lowered exhaust and cammed the month I purchase it.

Your going to miss the power from the Camaro if you get a vette....then your going to dump a ton of cash into the vette getting it up to par power wise.
Then a few years from now there is going to be a similar post like this on whether or not you should sell the corvette?
It's a cycle that never stops and we all have been there, trust me.
I would keep the Camaro and just purchase a corvette outright if you can afford it.
I wished I still had all the cars I let go in the past

Ya I'd seriously think about it. It's nice not having a car payment, and I kick myself in the butt every time I see a 3rd gen riding around. I've owned 3, and miss mine. My SS is great, but I turned a lot more heads in my '90 RS, 383 stroker. 'Vettes are a dime a dozen, but if you're serious about it, I'd def. go with a Z06.
