Default 94 4L60e work with LQ4?

I didnt want to hijack the previous trans thread.

I am doing a low buck swap, like lots of guys, into a 688 c-10.

I have an L33 and an LQ4. I think I going with the LQ4 for the truck. I also have a rebuilt 1994 4L60e (non pwm) from a 94 roadmaster wagon.

Has anyone run a non pwm trans behind an ls motor? I can use either a blue/red pcm or a blue/green. Will I just have a more abrupt lockup? What if anything has to change in the calibration.

If your road master was a LT1 chevy engine it should boltup... need different flexplate and Spacer/Adapter (I Believe because thats whats needed for TH350/TH400 applications).... top bell housing bolt is missing on LS series motors. Will have no effect on your motor and tranny.

Check the transmission section to be sure but the way I understand is the non PWM transmissions are different and either require wiring or PCM updates to work properly. Best bet would be newer PWM transmission, external control or a non lockup model.

Hope this helps.
