Default clutch upgrade?

i want to upgrase my clutch on my 01 ws6 over the winter. witch clutch should i use for a street car that i plan on doing mods to but nothing crazy.
there is a deal on a ls7 cluch kit for 450 with flywheel. will the ls7 clutch fit on
my ls1 trans am? what other cluches would be recomended? thanks.

I would first do a search on the info you asked in the manual transmission section of the forum...look up centerforce and spec to get started. good luck!

The LS7 clutch will work on your car. I went with the SPEC Stage 2+ clutch from the WS6 store. I heard that the LS7 is good but that the SPEC will handle a little more HP and is still street driveable. If you replace the clutch whatever you do, get the remote bleeder also. It will save you alot of time and headaches in the future. I wish I would have gotten one.

LS7 is suppoesed to hold up pretty good. What are your plans horsepower wise for the car? Have you looked into monster clutches? i put one in my friends gto and it is awsome i havent hear any bad things about them
