These are Goodyear numbers TSP has listed with the 25% UD Pulleys.

The SLP pulley is supposed to be the same as the Powerbond and you will have better luck finding PB cheaper.

Here is thread where Scoggin Dickey said they will create a package deal for $200 (includes powerbond pulley and belts).

I would recommend installing a manual belt adjuster like the Ketec if you are going to run a underdrive pully.

The high walls of the SLP/Powerbond is said to keep the belt better aligned.

I have a ASP on mine and it is a nice piece. You can definately see the upper tensioner flex while the car is idling.

I have been running a underdrive pully (SLP) for well over 150,000 miles ... yes I said 150,000 miles with the stock belt tentioner with no problems at all .... the belt tentioner has 197,000 miles on it and its still going strong...if this LS1 would ever wear out I'd build a bigger motor.

considering even the best underdrive only yields <10hp....and probably ~.1sec .....any of them that are the same % should be basically identical.

its not like the difference between shorties and LTs....

The gains should be identical, but it's the reliability(no belt throwing) that matters. I have heard alot of threads where the ASP pulley's have thrown belts. You don't hear that about the SLP/Powerbond pulley, because it has a higher retaining wall so belt throwing isn't a problem. I've had a powerbond on my car for 3-4 years and have never had a problem. I vote SLP/Powerbond.

I am sorry but I do not ever see any threads about ASP's throwing belts. All is EVER hear about is how the Powerbond/SLP has higher retaining walls so it doesn't throw belts. I have a ASP and have never lost a belt, granted I'm only spinning 6k but I doubt I'll have a problem when that is raised to 6700RPM. All with the stock tensioner.

I've had no issues with my SLP pulley. Would highly recommend it.

I seen a bunch of threads where there has been problems with asp pulley throwing belts. If you haven't had any problems good but I don’t see any reason to buy ASP when you can get the SLP/Powerbond for cheaper.

thanks for inputs.

OK, at the track which pulley will lay best et and mph? the 25% UD ASP pulley or the 25% UD SLP pulley?

i'm saying that with correspondance to weight of each pulley since they say the whole SLP pulley are made of steel while i think if i'm not mistaking the ASP are made of aluminum and steel, what are your inputs on that?

Your better of with an ATI Superdamper -lightwerweight and better quality. You can order them with the correct rubber for your application as well. Hi rpm hi hp use is different than normal street setup.

ATI I believe is the hands down best UD pulley for LS motors. And they are priced respectively. Im running a Powerbond with no issues. Asp is lighter then SLP/Powerbond. Difference wont matter between the three at the track as far as weight goes.

Yeah, there were quite a few threads regarding the ASP's throwing belts when I originally looked into them about 3-4 years ago. Thats the sole reason I went with the Powerbond pulley instead. He might get lucky and not have a problem with the ASP like you, but why take the chance when you can just buy the SLP/Powerbond pulley and not worry about it at all?
