Default 4l60 manual valve swap, anything I need to know

Ok been fighting the electrics in my tranny for to long, it's come down to swaping to a 700r4 or valve body, new tranny so I prefer to go to a full man 4l, few questions first, what kit is recommended?,will I have od, any tq converter issues? Will I need a new shifter? And any other imput would be greatly appreciated,

i did it. I used the transgo kit. You will have overdrive. No converter issues. You can still have it locked up by the converter or do like I did and set it too a switch. A shifter is nice but not needed. The thing that bugs me is you have to push the button to go back once you put it on drive.

ok cool, Im eliminating all the electrics from the tranny so I'll most likely need a switch, how'd you do the switch? And you used the transgo HD-3 kit?

Yes sir. I did use the hd-3 kit. I just ran the lockup wire to a switch.

I think i called performabuilt and they told me which wire it was. If I remember correctly all I had to do was ground the wire and the would Lock up.
