Default TH400 Driveshaft

I am ordering a PST driveshaft. Does anyone know the dimensions for a th400-9" in a 99 Trans am? Any help would be great!

Most measurements are taken from the flat of the output shaft to the flat of the rear end yoke. The driveshaft co. can figure it from there.

I figure there was a basic measurment. I don't have the trans in, that's why I asked.

Understand now. I guess it would make it harder.

Borrow a bare case and install it with the mount on the crossmember. Measure from the rear seal to the flat of the yoke, (where half of the u-joint cap is exposed). The trans and diff have to be installed at ride height with the weight of the driver in the seat for the most accurate measurement. You don't want vibrations or a shaft that bottoms out when you drive over a bump.

I bought a th400 and driveshaft from a buddy that also ran a moser 12 bolt. The driveshaft was 15/16" too long on my car and had to be cut. It was perfect on his f-body. I think every car is different and should be measured for proper fitment.
