NEED FEEDBACK PLZ guys from TX
HI-Been discussing an engine/ suspension/chassis build for my 00 Camaro w/ the guys over at Xtreme HP solutions, located in the Richmond Hills TX area. They sound like great guys very knowledgeable and helpful. Has anybody had work performed by them-so far they seem very customer oriented, I want to be sure since I'm spending big $$ and shipping car to them from Florida -Thanks

I cant stress this enough. DONT ******* DO IT. YOu would be better taking your car to some ricer shop in florida. If you want good f-body work in Tx, look towards Houston. There is a host of competent well respected shops. Dont buy the song and dance BS xhp is singing.

I can't say nothing (good or bad) about the shop you mentioned - but wouldn't it help to get some competitors in on the action and compare prices between shops? I mean - you sound like you're fixin to dump a bunch of money into your ride (just with the shipping and all....), so talk with several differant shops and get some ideas. I highly recommend Pavloc Performance in Tomball, Tx (just a bit north of Houston). I just had about 8500.00 worth of work done to my ride - there are a few posts in this section with videos - and I haven't stopped smiling since I got the car back from him. There are several other good shops in the Houston area that are sponsors on here, and I'm sure any of them would chat with ya on the phone and go over whatever it is your going after. Good luck to ya.....

I agree with the other guys my buddy had a 408 built there and had nothing but problems out of it. I sent his motor down to my machine shop and had it re machined and built it ouryselfs and has not had a problem since and that was our first LS based shortblock to ever built. I say dont do it!!

I have been their several times, and the owner's people skills really need work.
That isnt to say that they cant work on an LS1 car, but they wont my business again.
The owner was a complete dick.

After reading other replies to this, i lol.
I needed some intake gaskets in a pinch one late afternoon, and he said he had them. i drove the 20 minutes to his shop, because he was staying a few minutes late for me.
I get there, and they are similar gaskets, just with a smaller intake port.
When i mentioned this, he said "just trim it with a razor"
Sure that is doable, but dont tell me you have a part you dont, and them tell me to trim on some new gaskets.
Just shady business, and bad people skills

I am not aware of anyone with a problem with a engine that we built. Please contact me and I will work with you or your buddy to resolve this issue.

I do apologize for not having the correct gaskets. I don't recall this happening but we do make mistakes. Not too sure about why there was a discussion about trimming gaskets. That is not a method that we support unless it was just to get somebody out of a pinch. I can only tell you that we do try to help people out and again I apologize if we were not able to help you in this after hours situation.

On the other hand... The shop parking lot was opened on numerous nights for get togethers. The grill was brought out, along with beverages.
And a fun time was had by all.
With SpeedTek, and S&S auto parts a little closer, and nicer customer service i think i will go there from now on. I love the ability to walk into the store, and not have to deal with mail order. But, with that, nice people, and product knowledge come in handy.
Just because I dont drive an LS1, or F-body, like every swinging dick in DFW, Dosnt mean I dont have cash, and dosnt mean im stupid.
