Unhappy killed by HONDA

ok.. so just like the title says... killed by honda...
:cars:
sig car-'00 a4 bolt ons NO TUNE lol
89 honda DOHC turbo 6psi(car was completely gutted. no extra metal in car... dash, steering wheel and 2 seats... thats it lol(even the metal on the underside of the hood was cut off. car was just skin. hell.. i would almost say a DOHC turbo go kart lol)... driver states car weighed in at 1900 lbs with no driver/2100 with the driver
so heres how it went......we were planning on goin to fresno to check out the scene up there but i guess they ended up flaking on this particular honda.. so me and a couple buddies along with this honda were stood up. so someone says "well maybe you guys should just run since we are already out" i was kinda hesitant but agreed. so we get to the spot. dig race. guy flags and i immediately put about 2-3 cars on him spinning half through first but as soon as this gutted honda hits 3rd, i see him creeping up and by the time we get to the finish line we are about dead even but after we turn around he says he let off due to the curve in the road.... so we head to a different spot. this time i decide to open my cutout. guy flags, off we go. this time i spin completely through first and like a 1/4 of 2nd, im lieterally facing the guys fender at an angle at this point. he gets about 2 cars ahead and finishes off by like 3 for that one...
so i ask for 1 more run. cutout still open.. guy flags. off we go. this time i stall the car at about 1000rpm(not high at all) and get a way better launch. i think i put like 4 cars on him. but again, he hits third and all i hear is his spool creeping up and barely gets me by a bumper maybe half a fender. i had some buddies at the finish line and they said they didnt know because it was way close.. but his buddies were like.. man.. that was fucken close.. maybe a bumper.. so yeah. my mods are in my sig. no tune. and a sub box with 2 12' subs in it and some random **** in car due to i wasnt even racing that night lol... but whatever...
so....has anyone encountered a honda like this with those mods and being gutted and all that? should i feel bad? lol...just wondering what you guys think...
sorry for the long description... ALL COMMENTS APPRECIATED

No suprise here, Those hondas weigh next to nothing and the power to weight ratio on swapped DOHC turbo hondas is no joke. Glad to see that the word "rice" was not used once in your kill story. Honorable loss

It happens to the best of us. It all depends on the build though...One time when I was at firebird I saw a SOHC turbo coupe running 15s at like low 90s mph, where as a buddy of mine has a crx with most the interior running 12.1 at 115 with a single slammer. Some are fast, some are dog ****. Honorable death though.

You got beat by a Honda, turn in our man card immediately and beat yourself about the head and shoulders.

Seriously though there are some quick little Honda's out there. It happens.

the bad thing is there is no way to tell how fast they are till its too late, they all look and sound the same and all have front mounts. So one could be a stock motor with a small turbo, the next could be fully built with a huge turbo and you would never know.

Good runs!!

My buddy has a 89 hatch like that one you raced... with LSVtec and a GT40R Turbo at 11psi. That car moves... With the stuff in my sig at about 8psi i only beat him by a couple cars.. they move when they have traction lol

Most likely cant get out of te whole with enough traction or needs a driver mod, or both quite possibly lol

Thats not to bad really... your givin up roughly ~1500-1600 pounds... that is goin to make a huge difference.. take some weight out of your can and go back and do it again... im willing to bet he couldnt run you down then....

All you really need is some drag radials, you'll outlaunch him terribly and it'l all be over.

I thought he was going to murder you but I guess he had one of the smaller engines of the all ready small engines that those guys run No shame in the lost man. My cousin had an all motor hatch completely gutted out as well. Sheets of metal on the ground, plastic instead of glass windows, one seat, and slicks up front Those cars can be really fast with the right person modding it.
