Exclamation Question? 12 bolt on 83 Camaro Z28, Need help!!!

I am looking into swapping a 12 bolt into my 83 camaro. The question I have is which 12 bolt from what vehicle will mount right up and be ok. Lug patterns, width, and bolting right up.

Which vehicles do I need to start looking for and any mods I will need to do???

Also can I use stock torque arm setup?

Any help would be great.

Just go with a 12-bolt from Moser Engineering or Strange Engineering if you have the money. These rear ends are bolt on and will work fine with your application. You should call up Moser or Strange and talk with them and have them answer all your questions, they should help you out just fine.

I mean, it would be time consuming to have to find a regular 12-bolt and finding out which vehicles would be compatible and interchangeable with the 83 camaro outside of any additional repair that you might do.

None. You have to go with an aftermarket housing unless you want to completely redesign the rear suspension.

I agree with the previous two posters. The old GM 12-bolts are not compatible for your 83 camaro unless you want to redesign your rear suspension.

My moser 12 bolt, the C clipers Elim. is standard, they use a bearing pressed on to keep it in the rear.

Most aftermarket differentials are using a 9" ford housing end, so it is converted to a bolt in style axle instead of the stock c-clip axle.
