Rough guess on spacer size for 18x10.5 on front and tire question

Rough guess on spacer size for 18x10.5 on front and tire question For the guys running 18x10.5 56mm offset OE wheels is there a round about or rough guess as to what spacer I would need to limit the clearance issues on the front and possibly rear of an '02 Z28?
I am thinking of running GSD3 275/40/18 on front and 295/35/18 on rear.
I would like to run a 285/35/18 up front but a GSD3 is around $300 ea.
Any info provided would be highly appreciated!
I also looked at the Nitto 555 285/35/18 for front and 295/45/18 rear but thought the 45 would look a little weird. Any experience with this size tire?

i just installed arp studs and put on 7/16th spacers on the rear. im not sure if oe wheels has the same offset as the oem wheel. the reason i got the spacer was so that the wheel would become flush with the fender, not for rubbing issues. i have the GSD3's and they are a little rounded on the edges so they appear to be a skinnier tire so keep that in mind. no pics just yet, but ill try and take some next week when i pull the car out of the garage and it stops raining here.

I have 18x9.5's 275/35 and 18x10.5's 295/35 on my car, all I had to do to the rear was BFH mod and adj. PHB. I didn't have any fitment issues when I put my 10.5's on the front though.

just got these wheels for front and rear and have 295/35-18 gsd3s for the front and rear as well.
was planning to get some cheap 5/16 and 7/16 spacers from autozone to try out before ordering hub centric and wheel centric spaces.
everyone who is using spacers, did you install longer studs?

I will probably go with my original decision of the Nitto 555 if I can get the right size. The only offer the 295 in a 45/18 series. I think that the 45 series may look a little weird with a 275/40/18 up front but I may be wrong. Anyone have any pics of these sizes on their car? Also any specific retailers to get the spacers from and like "vatechguy3" stated what are you doing as far as lug studs?

That would be ideal for me so I could continue to rotate the tires. Any close up pics? How much clearance do you have around front spindles and other rub points? You think you could run a 40 or 45 series tire?

25mm spacers on the 18x10.5's. I just put on H&R trak hubcentric spacers on my oe 18x10.5's with 295's in the rear. Brings it out just flush with the fender. I would not recommend getting the cheap universal spacers, causes a ton of balancing issues.

25mm spacers on the 18x10.5's. I just put on H&R trak hubcentric spacers on my oe 18x10.5's with 295's in the rear. Brings it out just flush with the fender. I would not recommend getting the cheap universal spacers, causes a ton of balancing issues. Oh and longer studs are required of course. Stock studs are way too short.
i thought people were talking about zero - 1/4" in the rear???

Well, sure 1/4" is fine if all you wanna fix is spacing issues. But if you're after looks, you wanna go 25mm on a 56mm offset wheel. That brings it down to right around a 30mm offset which for fbodys, looks great =)) And 1/4" and 7/16" spacers are not hubcentric so they can cause balancing issues, and puts all the weight on your studs. 20mm-25mm hubcentric bolt on spacers are much better and safer IMHO.

I tried the 275/40/18 GSD3's on the front and they didn't fit -- aspect ratio issue (the tire and wheel was too tall to turn without rubbing). For Plan B, I just ordered two of the 275/35/18 Nitto 555 -- based on the specs it should fit perfectly (the aspect ratio will be pretty close to the original stock 10-spoke wheel mounted on a 275/40/17 tire). They should be here in a couple days so I'll be happy to let you know how it turns out.
As for the rear, I went with a 305/35/18 Nitto 555R drag radial and ran into some serious fitment issues. I tried to start with a 1/4" spacer from a local wheel shop....didn't work. The bumpstops would've needed to be trimmed back and I would still need a ton of BFH. I wasn't too excited about banging the crap out of the car, so I bought a 1.25" hub-centric spacer/adapter. Bolts right up and that solved my fitment issues, however there's now a good 1/2" of the tire hanging outside of the fenders -- I may try to lightly bang out the spots that would rub and then go with a 1" spacer instead just to tuck things in a bit tigher.
One word of advice -- I spoke with a TON of people on the board to make sure things would fit properly before I pulled the trigger on my new tire/wheel combo and the consensus was that the wheels would easily bolt right on. Unfortunately for me, that was not the case. It's possible that I have a car that's just a pain to work with, however I think it's more likely that listening to other folks with other tire and wheel combos wasn't an "apples to apples" comparison. That being said, I would be careful to make sure the advice you're getting is specific to your setup.

Yeah I'm definately not crazy about beatin the crap out of the car to get something to fit but I do want to find a happy medium of a little BFH but good wide tire. I think a 275/35/18 will do good up front, wouldn't mind trying a 285/35 but theres a dramatic price difference in the two.
I would like to go 275/35 front 295/35 rear but staying with the same brand and wanting the 35 series is tough. Especially in the GSD3 or Nitto 555 range.

If you go 305 on a 10.5" wide wheel the most you'd wanna go is 1" spacer, even then it will stick out a bit. I have 295 with 1" spacer and it is flush. I will tell you right now, 275 on a 10.5" wide wheel, will not look good. Just get the 295/35 gsd3 at tirerack. Last I saw they were 165/tire.

How much of a clearance issue would I have with a 295/35/18 on the front of a camaro? I would love to run 295/35/18's all around so i could rotate but don't want the tires to stick out or have turn radius issues.
I know the rear fenders of a TA stick out a hair more than a camaro so a 1" to mayb a 1 1/4" on the rear with a 295?

I called OE last week to see if I could get 18x9.5s for the front (C6 wheels) b/c i want the 18" packeage, not the 17/18 package, and Scott and Lance told me they are not getting them back in stock
