Default tranny :(

08 pontiac grand prix gxp 42,363miles ... drving home from work car starts to shudder then slows down managed to keep it going with hitting the gas , car still drives forward... it drives in neutral , doesn't go in reverse.. very unpleasant noises and some grinding was heard as well. just had it towed into dealer last night... not impressed at all man..

yep official... dealership called replacing transmission under warranty, there needs to be a recall for this asap...

All you have is 1st gear, neutral, and grinding? I bet the reverse reaction drum failed....which that would be very odd if it did....
