Default Spare Tire for '08 GXP ??

I put a set of Blizzaks on '04 Comp-G wheels on the wife's '08 GXP. I found a jack with the foam insert, etc now I need a spare tire. Will I need a 16" or 17" compact spare? I was looking around eBay but wasn't sure what I needed as IF the GXP would have come with a spare. Would the 17" compact spare fit in the spare tire well in the trunk? One of you guys has probably figured all this out already. Thanks

The one I have is from a Caddy DTS 05 and up (same as the bonnie rim). Its 17x4 and IIRC the tire is 125/70/17.

No 16" rim will fit the GXP, best bet would be to find another Comp rim, because I'm unsure as to whether a compact 17" will fit either, the only downfall of larger rotors.

I recently acquired a rear GXP rim that will be my spare. I plan on it just chillin' in my trunk, doubt it'll fit in the hole that they so lovingly teased us with.

You need the DTS or Bonneville GXP rim stated above.

The 16" that comes in V6 W-bodies may fit the rear....maybe. I got a flat on my right rear on the GXP a couple weeks back. Once I got the car home I threw it on just to see if it would clear the calipers and theres about a hair width if I remember between the caliper and the valve stem. I wasn't going to drive it to the shop like that but I goofed and totally forgot and drove it...it made it but it was only a short distance. So there is NO way of course it would clear the front calipers.

Spare from LaCrosse Super should fit, its front brakes are the same size as the GXP. I think Impala and MC SS also have donuts, they should be the same size.

no just GXP because of the Mis-matched front and rear wheel widths

Ok, so it sounds like if I find a compact 17" spare from a Monte Carlo SS it would fit ?

I haven't been able to confirm the Impala spare will clear the front calipers though I did find somewhere that a Bonneville GXP or Cadiallac DTS spare might fit. They are both sort of a 5 spoke design in black. Anyone know anything ?

Maybe it'll go in sideways.
