Default new here need some 4l60 advice

hi all, Im pretty new to the ls1 scene, new to automatic transmissions as well but Im building an ls1 s10 and have some questions about the 4l60. I did alittle research and found transgo shift kits and reprogrammers and was planning on buying both. I was told by a friend that most people put vette servos on the tranny for the shifting but i came across the billet servos on www.4l60-e.com. Im planning on buying the whole rebuild kit they sell with the billet servos, Alto Carbonite PowerBand , Sonnax oversize .490" Mega Valve, Red Eagle Power Pack. Basically Im asking if all this is a good combo and if theres and pros and cons to it like if anything will break? thanks in advance guys.

you should not have to buy both the shift kit and the reprogramer. the reprogramer includes the shift kit. dont waste your time with the vette serve go with the billet servo.

I think 01 and 02 f body 4l60e come with the vetter servo stock. The trans-go HD2 shift kit is the one most choose.
