Default Incon / APS 8mm x 1.0 selfloc nuts... I NEED EM!

After months of piecing together / upgrading my Incon kit I'm finally nearing the finish line!! I'm in desperate need of the nuts used to fasten the turbos to the manifolds, the ones that came with the kit aren't in that good a condition to consider re-using and I'm still short a few. All I've managed to find so far are the 8mm x 1.25 ones I've emailed every stocking dealer APS has in the states and got zero response (possibly due to APS's recent F-Body crisis I assume), Googled, Yahoo searched, and even called up a few shady resources and STILL CAN'T FIND THESE DAMN NUTS!!! Anybody have a clue where I can get some without taking a flight to Australia? Any and all help as always is greatly appreciated!

if they are 8x1.25 just go to your local hardware/auto parts/steel supply store and get some

I would just e-mail APS directly, i've done this and was able to order some parts for my kit without issue. They are a pain to e-mail back and forth to becuase of time difference though. What could've been a 5 minute phone conversation turned to a stack of e-mails... but i eventually got the parts i wanted.

I know there will be plenty of APS haters who may suggest otherwise but unless there is a better option this would be my choice.

the M8x1.25 is a standard pitch nut, most hardware stores stock those.
but the fine thread M8x1.00 is still in a lot of hardware stores, like ace, fastenal etc.
look up on fastenalls site, they will ship if you cant find a local store.

Odd for them to use that thread though. Or you could just drill and tap it out to a more common thread ?

Well since I don't think any sponsors have them, I can paste a link here:
http://www.mcmaster.com/#hex-nuts/=4v21cj

McMaster Carr, search online for "nuts" and go through the menus and you will find fine pitch metric, can get 100 for $8.00 for zinc steel, or you can get 18-8 Stainless

Good luck getting the kit finished.

If you want something different I'm sure they have it. I think you could build anything you want with everything they sell

You say self lock nuts, do you need ones that aren't Nylock self lock? McMaster-Carr has Nylock lock nuts 8mm-1mm pitch, PN: 90576A116

Yep, that's where I got the majority of my replacement parts from. Didn't have the nuts though, all they have is the 8 x 1.25 ones. And like SS2win said, mcmaster doesn't have them either... or at least not in the same style as the APS / Incon ones I got some contact info for APS from Moses Mcgregor (thanks man!) so I think I'll try them first. If I can't get anything outta that then I'll probably go with either lock washers or jam nuts. Looking for these damn nuts has been a pain in my ***, I swear. No homo

they are pretty uncommon.

The tops are extended with a notch cut out of the side (if that makes any sense) so once you torque it down the notched part pinches/binds and will hold it in place if it starts to back off.
