The maggie that wouldn't go away.
I almost think this song should be playing in the background for this story.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eu85zTAoRJ0
I bought the blower about a year ago after I got my most recent job working boxing promotions for Don Kings boxing program. I thought it would be a good reward for securing a decent paying gig down here in south florida. Well the blower project quickly hit the back burner as I was almost instantly working 60+ hour work weeks for months on end.
So about a month ago, I said eff it. I am going to sell the car and blower.
The kit after much back and forth, ended up selling to a friend of a friend but when it came to the day he was going to pickup the kit and I was going to sling the car over to the dealer to pick up a v2, he went missing in action. I got a call saying "sorry I gotta backout, I'm not gonna have the money till after xmas" DAM!
2 days later, I called up a buddy mechanic friend of mine and told him "game on".
48 hours later, I had this:
Mods:
LS7 clutch kit
Katech short shifter
UUC trans, shifter and differential bushings
Magnacharger 04-05 CTS-V kit with a 90mm tb upgrade.
Diablosport base tune.
Holy hell I love my V1.
I feel like a ricer saying this, but the noise the car makes at WOT is intoxicating. People on both sides of the street will stop doing whatever they are doing to see where in the hell that demonic blower whine is coming from.
My butt dyno says I am about 425-450wtq. The car feels like its falling on it face once you hit 4500rpms or so. Since I am driving the car up north(Chicago) for a few weeks. The tuner thought it would be better to pull a bunch of timing up top until I get back to warm and sunny, Florida and I can get a real dynotune along with adding proper supporting mods like headers and a blower cam. No reason to run around with massive numbers when there is 3 inches of snow on the ground
Anyways, I love the car. The clutch makes a night and day difference, the added power from the blower is just that much more of a bonus IMO.
Would I do it over again? I'll get back to ya once the roadtrip is done.

Thats funny as hell how you went from getting a V2 to just supercharging your current v1 in a matter of a few minutes. Either way you got a sick car

Yeah, I know I should have put it on months and months ago. I love the car. The V2 is much more refined and polished up but I gotta say, I love having the V1...especially since its paid off More money for mods, not payments!
