Default Sumitomo HTRZ uneven wear

Anyone else have the problem of the front 275 sumitomo tires wearing out faster then the rear 315 sumitomo tires. Im at the point where im just going to replace the fronts as the backs still have a fair amount of tread. Tires have around 20,000 miles on them.

I'm running the same tires with 275's all around and no issues so far.

Ahh, 20K miles on a performance tire is pretty damn good IMO. Why not just replace all four tires?

yea i am not to happy with the HTRZII's i have. I think they ride like **** and pull everywhere compared to my old ones(Kumho). I am going to try something different my next time around. Price was great though so I can't complain. I guess you get what you pay for.

My tires arent wearing at all. spinning like an idiot drifting corners and the back 315 are maybe 1mm shallower than the front 275
they suck at everything performance wise but are solid daily driver tires for sure. Just wish they would hook

OP what presssure you have in them? My 315/35/17 on TTM I keep 26-28lbs and my 275/40/17 I keep 28-30lbs and perfect wear pattern

I hated sumi's everytime I ran them. The best DD tire I've found is what I'm running right now, kumho xs. They don't hook great, but wear really well and my hook up at the local dealership gets them for under $100 each

I had the same problem. My fronts wore out on the outsides very quickly. As soon as I noticed it, I got it realigned, but they continued to wear unevenly. I couldn't figure out why.

once tires start alignment wear they usually continue to wear that way even after the alignment is done.

Mine have been fine so far...Imo check you alignment and tire pressure. I run 38psi up front and 22-24psi out back, any more air in the rears and the contact line is 1" away from the edge of the tire.

seeing this thread made me go outside and see how the wear on my tires is going.... i walked over to my passenger side front to see that my tires is perfectly smooth on the outside and feathered on the inside I did my own freaking alignment!!!!!! guess when i go to work in the morning I will put it back on the lift to check the align/ front end parts.

Exactly my problem the outsides have no tread anymore, getting an alignment when i get the fronts replaced. On a budget right now so cant afford to replace all 4 and the rears still have some tread left and seem to be wearing evenly.
