Size and brand preference?

I'll let you know if I see anything on slickdeals. I check it pretty much every day.

I was about to say the same thing. Considering it is in a bar and they will be on alot, +smoke, +a crap load of dust, the service plan is your friend. I have been a bartender and a manager in upwards of 10 bars, some which have wrung 270k in a month (total, before taxes and so forth), in south padre, Corpus Christi, and 6th street.

FYI 1080p and 120 hz is pointless in a bar. Just get some 40"+ 720p tv's that have the best deal. You are better off saving your money from the expensive tv's and spending it on UFC, NFL ticket, and so forth.

What he said! I worked through college by bartending in a very busy bar. Just get at least 42, and get a lot of em. The ticket and Fights never made the money for our bar. Esp since it's expensive to get the fights (legally it's $50 times firecode).

If I were you I'd go buy the cheapest one that is 42 or 50 inches, try costco or SAMS. They are always cheaper then bestbuy and you can take it back easier. Bar I worked at he bought them online and the first year 2 went out, so he was stuck buying 2 more. If he had bought them at Costco or Sams he could have just taken them back.

I took my personal one back that a certain jack *** room mate pissed on one drunken night, new TV for me and a gift card since I paid more for the TV then what it was now. Gotta love SAMS

Best of luck, it's a great business, and highly profitable if you run a tight ship, keep your labor low, and the inventory in check! It's hard, but very worth it if it's done right!
