Truth be told at that point it is either fabbed by yourself or you buy the accompanied header/pipe configuration. Fit, Form, and Function is what you need to check into. What headers do you run? Usually, you get what you pay for. Good luck.

I have pacesetter headers and ory, I love the headers, but the y is another story. what they do is bend a pipe and weld another into the bend(not very high quality IMO) The better ones have a collector style y merge, not just two pipes welded together.

there is a clear difference in the collector part of the y pipe.

the upper pic looks as though it would provide better scavaging vs the lower pic.

The top pic is of our ORY with the new style...the lower is the old redesign. The new design does offer an improvement in performance due to that collector change.

I went with Pacesetter lt's and a TSP ory and couldn't be happier. It took me a little while to get the y-pipe lined up but its a nice piece.

Default Flowmaster Merge

Def. go custom Y. Not only will a merge allow for better airflow/less restriction, but will remove most of the "rasp" people complain about. The link below is PatrickG's design, I basically used his as a template for mine. In the picture the pipe is stepped from 3" to a 4" cutout after the merge, then reduced back to 3" for the catback. Overall, it's a great piece.

i've always been a fan of finding a local exhaust shop doing my exhaust setups. but research first, ask around locally who does good work. that'll be the cheapest route anyways if you're trying to save some money. if you have the money, get the ypipe from the same manufacturer as the headers
