Default 5.3 Swap; what am I forgetting?

Going to the salvage yard after a 2002 5.3L tomorrow. Got a quote for the engine, engine wiring, computer, 4L60E and front drive accessories. Guy couldn't remember if it was drive by wire or cable throttle type.

Putting it in a 1964 chevelle. PLan to use a walbro external pump and corvette style regulator. Will install stock initially and plan to upgrade to LS6 cam and headers next year after I have absorbed the cost of the initial install.

What do I need to get other than listed above that I am probably forgetting?

Should I be concerned if it is a flex fuel version (L59) instead of a regular version (LM7)?

Other than the actual swap items needed(pan, mounts etc) you have the big bases covered except exhaust, but then you would need to be sure if the truck manifolds will clear the firewall.

if it is DBW make sure you get the TAC box and the pedal as well as the wires between the two.

mights as well yank the ALDL port while your at it (just snip the wires ~6" behind the plug)

Also, if it is a 4wd, I don't think I'd get the tranny. The output shaft of the 4wd is shorter than the 2wd, and don't easily interchange.

Its a 2WD.

I guess the OBDII port is not normally removed with the engine wiring?

the obdii port is part of the body harness. i picked one up on ebay for about $15. when you get your money right let me know. i started building my 65ss and bought a bunch of parts(stock tank with complete fuel bucket assembly in it, motor mounts, and coated longtube headers). i recently bought a 69 camaro that im going to fix up instead. so i dont think i will be using the chevelle parts.
