Question Who wants to drive a 05 V???

Only condition is that you have to also own a 04-05 V! I just got her back from my mechanic for a crank sincer replace and he had told me that it feels like something is wrong with the shifter. He also said that it idles funny and that he thinks that may be a balancer(think that's what he said) and that I prolly shouldn't take it above 5k rpms until I have someone check it out that knows more about my car... he said that he's worked an lots and lots of TA's/SS's and they never felt the way that my V drives... I think that it may just be my motor mounts but I need a fellow V brethron to come give me a second oppinion... my mechanic also used to own and work on a GN with a 1000hp so I have faith in him and really like the fact that he will tell me to have someone else check it out if he doesn't know the answer... by the way he wasn't avail last week so I called this other guy that I was told to goto and he said "no disrespect but I don't really want to work on your car especially if its got a vette engine." Again I need someone with a V to come take mine for a spin! Lol PM me for my # unless you already have it.... Thanks ya'll

I don't think Frisco is near Austin, but if you're out this way you're more than welcome to come drive mine.

I wouldn't mind driving yours to give you my impressions.

John: PM sent....

Punishment: its seems to be shifting good but the rpms seems to drop to 500rpm at idle then then go up to 750rpm and level off when I come to a stop... the mounts are the stockers too

sounds like your idle is surging, sometimes those shity hand held plug in tunners can cause a car to run like crap like that.

Also depending on your milage it may be time for a tune up, plugs, wires etc...

deff sounds like idle surge...id have to agree with Max..give her a tune-up. plugs, wires, fuel filter etc... if ur plugs are worn or have to wide of a gap it will not burn off all the fuel and load the cylinders causing a temp hesitation before the spark can burn off the extra and catch up ...usually happens when you take the load off the engine and low RMP's..like your explaining...i dont see a balancer causing it to surge. they usually cause serious vibrations and kick the knock sensors in.. hope this helps

did you ever get the issue resolved? if not, and you feel like driving over to north richland hills, we can go around the block in mine, and yours for comparison.
