Default oil change light

on my old firebird, when the oil change light came on, i held down the button near the gauges until it erased it, and it went away. Now, with my new camaro, the light came on, i tried the same thing and it wont go away..

Hold the trip meter reset button down again for 10 or 15 seconds till you see the oil light flash. Its in your owners manual.

On my 2002 T/A I did as the book says, Hold the Trip/Oil Chng light and it went off. I did it on a "Key ON, Engine Off" situation.

I did the pedal thing and did nothing. I agree with Kev.

just the key in the on position. then press and release pedal something like 3 times in 5 seconds. it can be bitchy and might take a few tries.

Pressing and holding that button with the key in the start position (not running) for 10 seconds or so always worked for me.
