oil change light on my old firebird, when the oil change light came on, i held down the button near the gauges until it erased it, and it went away. Now, with my new camaro, the light came on, i tried the same thing and it wont go away..

Pressing and holding that button with the key in the start position (not running) for 10 seconds or so always worked for me.
