I have a 98 c5 just wanted to know what is the easiest way to install a bung in the oil pan without dropping the cradle if it's possiable.

The cradle drop is really easy actually if you need to.
Just undo the two motor mount bolts from the bottom first. Then support the cradle with a jack before you loosen the four retaining bolts. Do not use an air tool on the bolts, it is easy to break the swivvle mount that holds them.
If you support the engine you can go a couple inches lower with the cradle before the suspension and steering rack and hoses max out...
