Question Cleaning Stripes?

I've got a 99 NBM T/A with silver 30th anniversary stripes(decals), they have been on the car almost 2 years and are spotting terribly. Is there anyway to get the spots off short of replacing them? TIA

Have you tried wax? Or a mild paint polish/cleaner?

Yeah I tried a cleaner wax, it took out some of the spots but still left alot. I was wondering if there isn't some kind of cleaner made specifically for vinyl that would work?

If you are seeing spots then part of the paint is gone. I knew someone who just replaced them in the end. It would be wise to layer the stripes with some sort of sealent or wax to prevent them from fading again.

Well I'm probably going to have them painted on next time. I just thought I might be able to get by for another year by cleaning them up alittle better. Doesn't anyone make a cleaner specifically for vinyl?

Shop here: http://www.properautocare.com/

If I am correct your looking for the same vinyl cleaner that is used on the clear plastic windows on a convertible top. If so, be aware that it is abrasive and probaly will remove more paint.
