Just get a true-dual set up with a race muffler get that sound your looking for... True duals sound better than a y-pipe setup... I have a lt's with o/r y-pipe and a hooker catback and its not loud at all... No mufflers is pushing it..

Sounds like you want the car loud so I would go with a true dual setup with sweet thunders, flowmaster one chambers, or bullets.

I actually run open ory sometimes, sounds good(cam) but i get tired of it. I also have a bullet mufflers I put on when im tired of loudness. IMO the bullet muffler sounds no different then true duals. I have a true duals with x pipe and bullet mufflers and it sounded no different then my ory with bullet mufflers.

I thought that too when I was lid only but it is pretty damn loud with H/C/I and the stall keeps it in loud rpm range which is a PIA sometimes....

OP-If you wanna make a little more noise do TD's (best) or look for a used Borla. IMO LM and GMMG sound good without headers but *** with them so avoid those.....

almost any straight through muffler with longtubes is loud, If you run no mufflers, it will be loud and sound like a garbage truck, unless you have a wild motor(i'm assuming you are stock.

I have longtubes with bullets right off the collectors on my race car, and its louder with the mufflers than it was straight headers, but the sound is clean.

do yourself a favor and run some kind of muffler just to clean up the sound.

LS1 + LTs + ORY + no muffler of any kind = garbage, IMO.
