Default LM vs. LM2

I know I want to switch to an SLP loudmouth exhaust but not sure to go for LM or LM2, I have LT's and no cats and a flowcrapper right now which is too quiet and my cut out off is so loud I only take it off at the track. I cant find a good comparison on ls1sounds. Which one is louder and what are the tone characteristics of each

W/ no cats your probably gonna wanna go w/ a lm2...I have a lm1 but im catted and it cuts down on the rasp greatly...lm2 is still loud, a local guy has it on his 98 w/ cats and it sounds good.

Definitely LM2. I have a LM1 and the rasp is a pain. I'm buying a flowmaster merge and getting a different bullet muffler to try to quiet it down and cut the rasp and drone. I wish I knew then what I know now about exhaust. Everyone told me....don't do it! And i did it! And i shouldn't have done it!

The LM with headers and ORY will not be much different than with ur cut outs open as far as volume is conserned. Why not get TSP true duals?

with the lm its going to be really loud. it all depends on your prefrence. personally i want it as loud as possible so im guna be running lt ory and lm but i dont care about rasp. if u want somthing loud but not deading loud go with the lm2. imo both sound really good but thats just my .02

If you want it loud as possible then why not put a dump on the end of your y-pipe LOL.

Me and a budy of mine talked about doing that with his lt1 that has lts ory and lm1. He drove around with just the ypipe for a while before we hooked it up to his LM.

long tubes / no cats / flowmaster merge and a LM2 would be loud but probably wouldnt be overly raspy.

The Flowmaster merge drastically cuts down on the annoying "rasp". Or so I hear.
