Bolt in LS1 swap kits for 4wd Silverado, K5 and GM trucks 1973-1987
Here is the 73-87 GM 4wd swap kit from www.RetroLSX.com This is a bolt in kit for the 4WD trucks that will let you use the OEM mounting points if you want to use the newer style transmissions with the old T-Cases. I will also sell just the mounts and the headers have already been built for the kit. I’ll have some off the car shots and more in the car late today. The kits will need to go out to be mass produced but its 100% bolt in.
An adapter bracket was used to bolt on the older style t case for this swap.
The OEM driveshafts did not even have to be modified!
I will have a lot more info to come on this swap so keep checking out this thread for more info.

It sure would be nice to swap out the boat anchor 454 in my truck... you said it'll work with exisiting driveshafts... is that with any current trans/t-case combo, or is it specific to a certain combo (say 700R4 with NP208, etc)? My truck has a 454 with th400 & NP205 and I'm curious as to just how "bolt in" it would be. I'm guessing that a 6L80E is quite a bit longer than my TH400.

The kit will bolt in with any trans the only difference if not running the 4L60 then the OEM crossmember that it still used would just have to be slide back father for the larger trans. We still will be making more variations to this kit this is just the first version of the kit.
The truck was a 203 th-350
The swap
was a 4L60 / NP208
The adapters for the T-Case work with most GM t -cases. The 208 was used for ease of use when adapting and would be the easiest to swap t –case on a 4L60.

LSX retro,
how about doing a 2nd gen F-body motor/4L65 mount swap and say 1 7/8 headers. I just hope you decide to do it before late spring when I will be forced to buy BRP's swap kit.

This kit works with the OEM truck oil pan so save some cash and just get a truck pullout!
It was mocked up the the LH8 but ether pan will work great.
We will also be using the truck pan on the 88-98. I have a 2wd next door to the shop we will make a kit on once we take out a few muscle cars.
Ill look into getting the 68-72 in the shop. I know the mounts will work if you use the frame plates from the 73+ style trucks.
I have my own 1976 Camaro that will be used for mock up and i already have the headers in works in stainless! So save your money and you can have a lot less $ into the kit with stainless headers over mild steal!

88-98 2wd trucks can use a truck pan with 1" set back mount plates. Stock manifolds on the 5.3-6.0 truck motors slide ride right in the chassis like they were meant to be there. Same on the 4x4 trucks. We have done one of each and they are about the easiest swap out there.
