Default Last upper radiator hose left in the country...

...and its $110 plus shipping. No dealership, no parts store, nobody can order one right now as they are on back order w/o an estimated availibility. This is the only dealer in the country that has one in stock...I need one. It leaks about 1/2in. out of the reseviour during the course of a week so its not critical, but I refuse to spend that much money on such a small hose

I've tried (and returned) some flexible radiator hoses and none of them could make that bend. Does anyone know of a good brand for flexible radiator hoses?

RockAuto parts appears to have them. The GM #20447S (non-stock item w/ normal 5 day delivery) or a Gates #23030 - no indicated delay. (about $23 either way). I have had good luck with this supplier in terms of service.

I've tried gates through O'Reilly's and they can't get them. Napa, Advance, Auto-zone, Cadillac dealers, etc all cannot get it right now. They all have part numbers for them, but everyone is on back order and can't tell me when they'd be available.

Im on the phone with RockAuto right now. They are verifying that they might have 1 Gates hose in stock in a warehouse in New York!! Owning low-production cars does have its draw backs..haha

Rock Auto had ONE Gates hose hiding in a warehouse in New York. $28 shipped.

I think I just bought 1 of 2 of the upper radiator hoses left in the US..haha. The only one left is $110 plus shipping from a GM Parts place in Maryland if anyone is interested.

EDIT: Thanks Darman!!

You've never seen an E-series ford lower hose then, or the hoses on a 2.2 J-body.

Yeah these hoses do some crazy *** bends but they don't seal very well and always seem to seep and need to be re-tightened on my dad's 55. I work at a NAPA and we could get one direct from Gates in Georgia, don't know how much coin but I imagine nothing too crazy. I also have other sources but I am not at work right now and I did not want to waste too much of my co-workers time. If it turns out you need it bad shoot me a PM and I'll see what I can do for ya. Good Luck!

I didn't think my upper was leaking either until I had a buddy bring over his pressure tester. He pumped it up to 20psi and it started dripping on the w/p side of the hose...not real fast, but enough to need replacing.

I just found out that the Gates lower hose is $16...Its $140 through the dealer. LOL

When comparing prices with GMPartsDirect be sure to include their shipping charges which can be substantial.

shipping was $16... still less then $110, you also have to remember... no sales tax (-$8+) unless you live in NC.

Rockauto has the ACdelco part for $28 and their shipping is always cheap. It is special order though, so if the dealer cant get it, neither can they. Same goes for GM parts direct, they will not be able to get one.

Right. I'll probably check RockAuto first from here on out. It was $21.XX + $6.XX shipping. The customer service was awesome too. The guy double checked that they could put their hands on this hose and set it aside for me, called me back, etc. A lot of places won't do that over a $20 order.

..just because sites have these parts listed, doesn't mean they have them..espically for our cars. I went through 10 different places before assuming my dealer would have one and then found out that they even can't get them right now. Spending $28 instead of $128 really made my day

I was going to suggest RockAuto, but quite a few beat me to it. Search around for a RockAuto discount code. They are all over the net.

Dealer is putting in a new radiator under warranty tomorrow. I guess I got lucky that it wasn't the upper radiator hose!
