Default Ordered a new ECM....got questions

I ordered a new ECM tonight for my 68 C-10 after the old one stopped working.

So I already bought a liscence through HPtuner for the old ECM. I had the engine running for a few days. So when I get the new ECM, will I have to buy another liscence, or can I assign the VIN from the old ECM onto the new ECM. I really don't want to waste another $100 if I don't have to.

Default Ecm

Unless you have unlimited credits for that model year, then yes you will have to spend another $100 to license the new computer, they actually don't go off the vin# more so the Serial number is what locks the computer and that is something you cannt change, been their been their.

If its brand new (never been flashed), you will need to have it flashed with a Tech 2 so someone with EFI Live. HP tuners won't let you do it.
