So I bought my Z already with LT's and ORY into a hooker catback. My question is will I be hurting exhaust flow bad if I place a 3in. Magnaflow cat in the I-pipe of the catback after the ORY. Just getting tired of the smell and the dumbass who had it before me welded the headers to the ORY other wise I would buy a TSP catted Y-pipe.

The cat(s) need to be closer to the headers due to heat loss placing it further back. The I pipe is too far back for a cat to work.

It maybe possible to take it to an exhaust shop and let them know what your wanting to do. I would say get the new TSP design Y-pipe and then take it to them and have the headers flanged and the flanged and there you go problem solved.
