Default What size tires will fit this rim

I have american racing torq-thrust M rims on my car, I believe 17x9's? not entirely sure of the 2nd number. Anyway, currently on the car are Mickey Thompson's: 315/35R17.

After reading on the site, i saw that in order for 315's to fit i need the 10.5" width rim. I am wondering if the 315's will fit on a smaller width rim or only the 10.5". I want to make sure i have 10.5 before i go buying new tires

Yes, the lip is over an inch deep haha

NOTE: 315 series tires DO NOT fit 9" or 9.5" wheels. It will not be discussed any thread posting will be edited, locked or deleted.
I read that post and completely over read that information. thanks a lot!

then the max you can fit is a 285. the ONLY 315 you can fit is the Hoosier DR. they recommend 9-11 inches for that tire.

295 fits totally fine. And I got nitto 315 has a lol extra rim protection that's it. How is the bead gunna pop off if the tire is wider than rim. It's not.

Why do you say the max is only 285 if i have the deep lip? doesn't that mean i have the 10.5 rim. I can run 285 -315 on that correct?

Take your wheel off on the inside it will say on one of the spokes what size it is. Example 17x9.5

That looks like the 10.5" wheel lip to me, and if it's carrying the MT 315s that well you should be good with any 315. Their tread width is pretty wide for a 315...

315 m/t's would look ridiculous on a 9.5" wheel, you definately have 10.5s.

nitto 315's are narrower than all the other 315's, the 9.5 wheels i had, i ran them on the nittos with no issues whatsoever.
