Default rust in cylinder

Well, took a head off today and the passenger side rear cylinder has runs in it, bad enough hat it looks like the cylinder might need to be possible bored, i dont have a clue what to do since it was not in my budget to but a 6.0 that needed rebuild....


Who carrys a cheap *** piston that is that of a LQ9 spec?

How long did the car sit? Were the sparkplugs out? If you had a bad headgasket problem and the car sat outside with no plugs in the holes I could see a little rust but enough to have to get it honed would take a while it seems. Can you take a picture of it?

Check ebay for LQ9 pistons. They're almost always on there reasonably priced when I'm looking for blocks.

Yea, i think i can hone it, but i will be damned if i put LQ4 pistons back in it.

We can get some aftermarket pistons for both the stock rods and aftermarket rods. Let me know what your plans are and if we can help and we'll get you setup with any parts or gaskets you need.
