Default ET Streets or QTP

Which ones hook better? I am going to run a shootout that requires DOT tires so am wondering which hooks better?

i prefer hoosiers over et streets. more stabile on the big end and seem to hook better for me

I think it has alot to do with preference. I've seen people go fast on both.

I had both, I like the QTP a bit better, But the QTP are 15" the et streets i had where 16", But the qtp are more streetable.

I run the QTP's and have a best 60' of 1.67. I like the tires. I have never run E/T streets.

I run BFG drag radials on the street and have run em at the track too. best 60' on these was 1.79.

I've cut a best of 1.59 and alot of mid to low 1.6's on 305/40/16 m&h racemasters. i have a 6speed(m6)suspenchion mods was only a tq-arm w/lca's lonching at 4,500rpm's.

Another vote for the Hoosiers. Best 60 on the 27" QTP was 1.553. Never tried the ET's though.

My best on my streets was 1.7, my best on QTP was 1.53 but consistant 1.6'
Alot will depend on suspention upgrades as well.

never run hoosiers, most people 'round here run m/t. I've had a 1.57 on my 26 x 11.5 x 15 et streets

At HRP I have ran a 1.496 on ET Streets. At LSR I can't seem to get hooked up most of the time with even less air pressure.

I would like to try a set of Hoosiers QTP's if they made a 16" tire wide enough to hook. I only see a 8" wide thread width in 16". My ET Streets are 10". With my 8" factory wheel I'm not using the full 10" thread width anyway so maybe the 8" is all I need.
