Default Best car, FI combo for daily driver

Sold My heads, cam, etc. GTO a few months ago. Simply put, I want next car to be a FI car that drives close to stock and would run 11's a few times a year at the track. Never had a FI car. Suggestions???

Full exhaust and mild converter with a D1SC at 8-9lbs on a stock motor with a spot-on tune.

does it have to be a V8? lots of factory turbo cars can get you there for not a whole lot of invested and can have AWD which is a nice thing to have up here.

Depends on what you want your daily driver to be. Spring and summer car or year round? Do you need four doors or two? RWD vs AWD. If RWD and four doors how about last generation CTS-V and a Procharger or TVS? If AWD what about a Evo? I had an 05 Evo and there is nothing quite like going down a twisty road doing 90mph around 30mph marked corners. It was decently quick in a straight line, but on the curves it was just phenomenal. If you only need 2 doors you can pick up a used C6 Z06 in the 40's. If that's too rich for your blood I saw a Maggied 2006 C6 for 28k in the Phoenix area. It all really comes down to what you think is comfortable to drive and is cool TO YOU. We can all give our opinions, only you can decide what's right for you.

I would consider a daily driver a spring, summer, fall ride. I would like to stick with V8 rear wheel drive platform. FI for HP and driveability.

I ve got a 98 ss turbo car forsale.....basically stock. The best daily driver I ve ever had and the list is long. Its been my wifes daily ride, drives better the stock and runs 11's (12k)

Or....if you want true utility, get an awd express or savanah gmc van and turbo it....
Check out you tube....."turbo van doing it again". All year, does anything.

'02 C5 coupe, low miles, mint for about $18k. Drop it off at ECS in New Jersey or Vette Doctors in Amityville NY for a centri kit, $6500 or so installed. Add another $1-1.5k for a clutch. Done. It will get 18 real mpg around town and 25 real mpg on the highway, run 150k+ miles, and haul a ton of groceries.

New CTS-V. The LSA motor is awesome for a Cadillac.

I have no idea for a 11 second car.My stock motor Vette ran 10.7's,drove like stock(due to stock H/C)P1 procharger and got 28-30mpg.

the best FI cars out there for DD use is a factory boosted car. with that being said, I would get a terminator. a buddy down here bought some used bolts ons for his (not even sure what it all was) car made 450 with $100 in used mods

another friend just picked up a DSG 03 cobra with 17k miles on it. this thing has a 2.3kb blower, headers, full exhaust, ccw rims, very bolt on, and a damn dinner plate on it and still makes 550+. picked it up for 22k

vettes and turbo lsx's are nice. but you can not beat stock boosted cars for dd duty. so unless you get a ssr truck or a lighting your pretty limited on choices. AND there is nothing wrong with driving a 03-04 cobra. that has got to be one of my faviorte cars to drive. all that power and torque, NOW! just hit the gas.

Something along the lines of the above Corvettes would get the job done. Bob

Get a TBSS AWD. You can tow with it, haul 5 people, its only downside is MPG. 15 at the most with an AWD. I had a Procharger in it, it was capabile of running high 11's, I never got the chance to get there though but people with less power then me were making it there. Installing a Single TC78 right now, it will get to the mid 11's (I hope) and it hauls 4 guy friends or at least 4 bikini wearing girls 5 if I include the my wife Its her friends so I probably should.

They go for around 18-22K right now and have a LS2. Its gonna need a transmission thats it's weakest link. FLT and RPM handle that issue well. If you go F/I with an F Body your going to need a rear end and the tranny cost what a rear end does so it equals out

The TBSS is along the lines I was thinking about. All wheel drive plus 5 passenger. Was thinking about Maggie TVS 1900, trans update and converter.
