Default LS6 stage 2.5 or stage 3 heads on stock motor? good idea?

I have a 82 corvette I recently did a ls1 swap on.

The engine is a STOCK 2002 Engine with the LS6 intake.

The only bolt-ons are Longtube headers and a custom intake threw a 85mm MAF. stock T/B

This is my question. I dont want to spend to much money on mods right now. I plan for a U/D pully later and then in a year or two a COMPLETE Forged 383 stroker build with a Torquer V.2 cam.

I would like to throw something on the engine now that I can re-use on the 383.

I was considering a set of cnc'd stage 2.5 or 3 heads and was wondering if they would even show any descent power gains on the stock wimpy 2002 cam?

I know the compression would jump to 10.5 and I would get some gains there.

I would like some thoughts and opinions on this.

I have considered nitrouse also both mods would cost about the same.

What I am looking for is opinions and what the amount of HP I might gain

I have a 6 speed with I.R.S. rear end with 4.10s
