Does any body here have this converter? I am thinking about geting a converter and wondered how drivable it is i have 2.73's so I dont want something to loose. I thought the high str might make it more drivable.

Maple, dont even fool with the 2800, a SS3800 will be nice, and not too loose with the 2.73s. If you do get the 2800 you will be dying for more stall later on down the road. I thought my TCI SSF 3500 was gonna be plenty of stall for me well...im prospecting a PT 4200..Good Luck

Part of the reason I was thinking about the 2800 is I was tring to sacrafice some of the gas mileage I do a lot of rush hour traffic and was tring to find a way to get the gains with out loosing to much on my mileage what are you guys geting with the 3500 and 3800 stalls.

I lost about 2 MPG in city driving. One thing that will help is to drive in 3rd instead of OD during city driving. My converter will lockup at 30MPH in 3rd. as long as the converters locked up you see no loss of MPG. I really think the reason i lost 2 MPG in the city is the car is alot more fun to drive
2.73+big stall= it will wake your car up like you can not imagine.

My car has the VIG 2800 and 2.73's that came with the car when I bought it , and it drives perfect. I live in the California hills, so I have to deal with it a little more than most, but its not at all noticable after you get used to it.
However, I would step up to larger gears if you want to run anything larger for drivability's sake, and like the rest of the guys stated if your going to go... go big. 3500-3800 for your preferences, I'd say. Once you get up over 500hp then we can talk 4000+
